I’m Julian Walby and I own and run The Workshop.
My love of all things vehicles began when I was 15 when I worked for my brothers in their garage doing mechanical and bodywork on VW’s, Jaguars, rovers, Audi’s and NSU’s. I trained by doing my apprentership in mechanicals where I achieved my city and guilds in motor vehicle craft studies. I then did my in house body work apprentiship and spraying. I continued this for 6 years before taking a break.
I then went on to doing injection moulding and selling radio controlled model aircrafts, cars and model helicopters.
In 1989 I moved to cornwall and bought a garage selling fuel, doing mechanics and MOT’s.
I then went on to doing freelance work for an independent VW garage doing bodywork and mechanics.
In 2012 I bought ‘The Workshop’. Where I have developed it from just body works and mechanics to campervan conversions, tyres and refurbishment of alloys.
